Planning a Wedding in Mallorca

Can foreigners legally marry in Mallorca?

Yes, foreigners can celebrate weddings in Mallorca. However, legal civil marriages in Spain often require residency or specific documentation. For this reason, many international couples choose to complete the legal marriage in their home country and hold a symbolic ceremony in Mallorca. This allows greater flexibility in choosing venues and designing a personalised wedding celebration.

The wedding venue has a coordinator; do I need a wedding planner?

A venue event coordinator and a wedding planner is two very different things. While it is true that a venue event coordinator and wedding planner will have some over lap, there is still an big added value to having both.

A venue coordinator oversees the on site staff, to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations, serving food on time, etc. A lot of times the venue coordinator is not there for the duration of the wedding.

A wedding planner makes every aspect run smoothly, greet all your vendors, send out a timeline prior, make sure you are having a great time celebrating and to ensure that your vision has become a reality.

Will I have a wedding planner at my wedding?

Absolutely. Your wedding planner you’ve contracted with will personally attend your event along with at least one assistant.

How much communication will we have?

We respond to all emails and phone messages in a timely manner. Usually, we will respond to all messages within 24 business hours.

What wedding planning services do you offer?

We offer full wedding planning services, including day-off coordination.

What types of weddings do you accommodate?

We do church or symbolic weddings.

As a general guideline, destination weddings on the island often start around €30,000 for smaller celebrations, while larger or luxury weddings can reach €60,000 or much more (as of 2025). Working with a wedding planner helps couples manage their budget and select the best venues and suppliers for their vision.

Do you charge an initial consultation?

No. Our initial consultation is complimentary. This is a chance for us to get to know each other to see if we’re a good fit to work together.

A wedding planner is expensive; can’t my friends or family help out?

A wedding planner is an investment in making sure your wedding day in Mallorca is beautiful and flawless while taking that stress and duty off you and your family. Just like you, your friends and family want to enjoy the day and celebrate with you rather than working your event for you.

How early should couples start to plan their wedding in Mallorca?

Anywhere from 10-15 months prior to the wedding date is a good time to start planning. You don’t want to wait until the last minute and feel overwhelmed, but you also don’t want to be planning for too long.

Do Mallorca wedding venues have noise restrictions?

Yes, many wedding venues in Mallorca have noise regulations due to local laws and residential areas. Music is often required to move indoors after a certain time, typically around midnight, although some venues offer extended hours.
